The three artists: Nicole Westfall, Brian Michael Reed, and Hannah Watters enjoyed the first full-flat residency.

Tamarack Foundation for the Arts

Hannah Watters was recently highlighted in Tamarack Foundation for the Arts' Storytelling Newsletter for her participation in the Pandemic Relief Artist Residency at LaFayette Flats. This residency, made possible through NEA American Rescue Plan funding, provided artists with dedicated creative space to advance their work during a challenging time. As one of three selected artists, Hannah took part in the first full-flat residency, where artists not only had private studios but also access to a communal space designed for collaboration and idea exchange. The residency culminated in a public exhibition at the Love Hope Center for the Arts, where Hannah's work was showcased alongside her fellow artists, receiving strong community engagement. This recognition underscores Hannah's role in West Virginia’s thriving creative movement, proving the transformative power of art in rebuilding communities and inspiring future generations.
